I'm not a writer, but I'm trying...

I have yet to determine the purpose of this blog… is it to keep family and friends update with our lives; is it to vent, rant and rave to get things off my chest; or is it simply for the comic relief and amusement of those who happen upon it.  Regardless this should be interesting and a little fun.

There are a few things in life I despise; TRAFFIC, people in general, and black eye peas.  Recently I tried to take my children to the zoo over spring break with their aunts and cousins.  This turned out to be a huge mistake because there were traffic jams every where, tons of people, and no place to park.  After a minor panic attack we abandoned the zoo trip and decided to go to Incredible Pizza.  Well guess what they were closed down and I was not look forward to eating at ChuckyCheese.  Then I remember this place in Sugarland my friend told me about called “Stomping Grounds” It is like an indoor playground and it rocked.  For 7.25 the kiddos get to play as long as they want and you get to sit in an air conditioned sitting room sipping coffee… they even have Wi-Fi.

Our little chunky monkey had her 2 month old check up today, 12.4 lbs and 22 inches long (6.10 lbs and 16’6 inches at birth.)  Mo stayed with her for the shots because I can’t look at her poor little face.  She is smiling and cooing, my mom can make her giggle.

I know you may find my opinion is biases, but I truly believe that I have some awesome, if not the most awesome, kids.  They show so much love for each other and for their cousins, aunts and uncles.  Taylor has a card at school and when it gets filled with stickers he gets to pick a prize from the treasure chest, 40 stickers, that’s a lot.  He came home yesterday with a bracelet for Maysen from the treasure chest, he really is a great big bro.

Well I could go on and on… like about Taylor’s new ramp, the princess tea party, Taylor and Luke calves and our game night with friends, but I will leave that for another time.

Tata for now, Kate

Where to start...

I am sure most people start their blogs out much better than this, but I have never been a writer.

Well once upon a time there was Mo and Kate.  We were very lonely as we had no one to play with.  Then came Taylor (now 6) the apple of my eye and his daddy’s new best friend.  Taylor opened up an entire new world to me.  It wasn’t just about being a mom, it was about being TAYLOR’S mom and there was nothing better in this world.  It was about this new little life that I created and grew in my womb.  Yes I know pretty soppy stuff.  I always wanted a HUGE family so when Taylor was 2 we decided to have him a little brother.  It was a great pregnancy and as with Taylor we decided not to find out the sex of the baby, but we knew it was a boy and we were going to name him Mason.  Imagine our surprise when the doctor pulled out a girl.  Yep a girl, I have never been a girly girl and honestly never wanted a girl because of that.  However God had a plan to prove to me that I am more girly that I think.  I love that girl more and more ever second that goes by.  I have never argued with anyone as much as I have with Maysen (now 3.)  She is my best friend and the best daughter I could have asked for.  Now that brings us to baby number 3.  Once again we decided to leave the sex a secret (drive my sister crazy) but once again felt pretty certain it was a boy… wrong again.  Sweet little Claire was born in January looking every bit like her big sister Maysen.  More than one person has commented that maybe Maysen’s twin got stuck in there for three years; that is how identical they look.

As you can tell motherhood is my life, I was put on this earth to be a mom and an aunt.  Now that I have filled you in on my family, I will say goodbye for now.

Until next time, Kate
